Operating entirely on revenue from game sales, rather than tax dollars, the Virginia Lottery generates more than $2.0 million per day for Virginia's K-12 public schools. The Virginia Lottery also licenses and regulates casino gaming and mobile sports betting.

The VA Lottery is seeking an Application Support System Administrator to join our Information Technology Services Department.

The Application Support System Administrator will be responsible for system and security administration of all Lottery applications and the troubleshooting and resolution of high-level issues within these applications. The individual in this role will design detailed computer security access controls in accordance with internal and external audit requirements and will be responsible for generating security reports related to third-party software user access and roles. This is a collaborative position responsible for identifying issues and working closely with Lottery business partners to resolve them effectively and efficiently. The Application Support System Administrator will also update and create documentation related to new and existing procedures and policies.

Additional duties include supporting Customer Acceptance Testing during new initiatives and systems updates as well as resolving issues with Dynamics 365. Areas of focus include workflows, alerts, roles, duties, and privileges along with resolving user conflicts within the Dynamics environment using Fastpath.

Note - This position requires in-office work three days per week including Tuesday and Wednesday.

Minimum Qualifications

- A Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Three to five years of System Administration experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of System Administration practices to include system and security administration.
- Experience assigning system access and establishing accounts, passwords and security protocols.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Computer Operations.
- Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
