A government client is looking for a systems analyst to join their team.

* The primary purpose of this position is to work in partnership with external partners and stakeholders, including but not limited to NC HealthConnex participants and DHHS representatives, to work collaboratively to develop and implement quality services to improve population health outcomes in the state of North Carolina. Responsibilities include:

* Implementing data quality best practices, governance, and security requirements

* Analyzing and documenting processes and requirement specifications and developing clinical workflows

* Interacting and communicate effectively with non-technical clients

* Understand general IT architectural principles, technical designs and specifications

* Working with Microsoft Office Tools, including Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint to present information to stakeholders.

* Interact as a productive team member on a project team to further project goals.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years of System Analyst experience specifically within the Healthcare industry

o Working with clinical/Medicaid data

* Knowledge of clinical standardized code systems such as CPT, LOINC, and ICD-10

* Extensive knowledge working with clinical data, EHRs, HL7 v2 and C-CDA messages

* Experience with analyzing and documenting processes and requirement specifications and developing clinical workflows

* Knowledge of HIPAA and health care regulatory compliance as they relate to Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Health Information Exchange (HIE).

* Proven experience with clinical data ETL techniques, data verification, data quality management, and validation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* FHIR Standards knowledge/experience

* State Government experience
