JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing technical support to our HVAC/R OEMs and distribution end customers (contactors) with a focus on brazing/soldering HVAC/R sealed systems. Ideal candidates will have experience at the installer repair level, experience brazing HVAC sealed systems, excellent communication skills and be a motivated self-starter. This is a full-time position that is expected to be on-site at Lucas Milhaupt's headquarters (Milwaukee). Extensive travel is required to execute on-site, hands on braze training. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
  • Responsible for brazing applications support in HVAC/R. Assist sales in sustaining high service relationships with customers and end users. Activities must be coordinated with sales to include:
    • Practical knowledge of HVAC/R systems installation and repair with a basic understanding of brazing and common field challenges.
    • Provide brazing application support to our HVAC/R sales team and customer base via e-mail, phone and in person training.
    • Schedule and execute on-site braze trainings to large groups of HVAC contractors / installers and to HVAC/R OEMs
    • Effectively communicate product value propositions promoting the Lucas Milhaupt brand of brazing products.
    • Assist sales in developing technical support-based growth strategies.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of technical sales enablement tools. Sales enablement tools include but are not limited to: Index of braze joints and assemblies, application case histories, technical data sheets, rapid solution development tool.
  • Support Marketing Organization by participating in industry trade shows.
  • Failure analysis of parts submitted by customers.
  • Assist in on-going development of braze education curriculum. Lead regional and customer on-site braze training seminars, demonstrate hands on brazing expertise.
  • Assist in development of interns and less senior Engineering staff.
  • Project management and execution of activities related to new product development.
  • Authors articles for trade publications and journals illustrating and promoting LM's products and services. Also maintains professional affiliation with appropriate societies and participates on approved committees.
