Position Overview

The Architecture & Design Lead, Project Management & Reporting will support the RL Architecture & Design Studio by managing processes, data and reporting related to store design and construction. A champion of best practices, s/he will work closely with Architects and Project Managers across all regions to implement tools and processes that improve efficiencies within the department and enable accurate data collection for reporting to key stakeholders across the organization. In addition, the Architecture & Design Lead will help drive the department's sustainability and accessibility agendas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the development of best-in-class project management tools and processes to enable department reporting on project delivery and workload:

• Deliver Reporting Tools & Metrics: Collect, organize and analyze project data and performance metrics. Utilize UX and Information Design principles to translate project data and metrics into clear, concise and impactful information graphics. Develop reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate project status, trends, and key insights to stakeholders. Conduct regular audits to validate data accuracy.

• Project Execution Practices: Evaluate processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implement best practices, tools and systems to enhance project management capabilities and performance. Identify areas for improvement and recommend data-driven solutions to increase efficiencies.

• High Collaboration: Forge partnerships with Project Managers and Architects across regions to evaluate processes and workflows. Collaborate and communicate effectively to achieve desired results. Partner with Global regional leaders to ensure compliance around processes and tools.

• Champion Best Practices: Be a resource and subject matter expert (SME) for new processes, practices and tools to support project and data management across the department.

• Maintain Department Processes: Run workstreams and training to Project Managers and Architects across regions to ensure compliance with standard processes and use of data reporting tools. Produce training materials and lunch-and-learn sessions for ongoing support across regional teams.

Drive the sustainability and accessibility agendas for store design and construction:

• Sustainability and Accessibility Ambassador: Champion the sustainability and accessibility goals of the department and company

• Monitor Scope: Manage coordinate sustainability and accessibility deliverables with internal partners and external consultants to meet department goals.

• Progress Tracking: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) against established goals and report to corporate committees.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Experience leading data analysis and reporting for architecture and construction

• Experience in architectural design and construction, information design and data visualization

• Excellent project management skills (PMP certification a plus) with ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Passion for data, systems and problem-solving

• Strong analytical skills, with ability to draw conclusions and make inferences from data to drive good decisions

• Strong strategic and tactical problem-solver

• Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated

• Collaborative work style that drives results

• Good communication skills, presenting information and ideas clearly and accurately

• Proficiency in Smartsheet, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project and InDesign
