Responsibilities
Personnel assigned on shifts to carry out planned activities of the security program as well as any authorized duties relating to emergency management functions.
A valid License to Carry a Concealed Weapon in the state of Nevada (CCW) is a mandatory requirement for this position. Please ensure that you enter your license information accurately in the certification field of the application. Failure to provide this information may result in automatic denial during the selection process.

Responsibilities
Personnel assigned on shifts to carry out planned activities of the security program as well as any authorized duties relating to emergency management functions.
- Follows up on pending security issues.
- Implements requirements of the Security Management Plan.
- Manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents.
- Monitors and documents actual and potential security breaches.
- Monitors existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud.

Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive public contact.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of Life Safety TJC CMS and OSHA regulations and standards. Workplace violence training within 6 months of employment.
- Completion of NIMS compliant ICS 100HCb 200b & 700a courses or state equivalent. CPR BLS & HA Certification within 90 days of employment.
- International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) Basic course within 90 days of employment and IAHSS Advanced course within six months of employment.
- Essential Cognitive Functions - Ability to comprehend and follow instructions; maintain attention and concentration for necessary periods; synthesize coordinate and analyste data perform simple and repetitive tasks; maintain a work pace approrporate to given workload; perform complex and varied tasks; relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions; get along with co-worers and peers; understand the meaning of words and how to use them appropriately and effectively; understand and remember detailed instructions; make independent deicsions or exercise judgment based on appropriate information; accept and carry out responsibility for direction control and planning.
- Poses a valid State Drivers License or have the ability to obtain prior to hire date. = DRV LIC;
- CT CCW = Certified to Carry Concealed Weapon in the State of Nevada. Failure to provide this information may result in automatic denial during the selection process.
- Must have a current CCW or able to produce the receipt submitted to LVMPD; awaiting their approved CCW hard card.
