Job Description:
Provide quality assurance inspection and analysis support for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security's Armored Vehicle (AV) Program at the U.S. Department of State to assess vendor's performance plans, schedules, controls, and industrial processes and performance. Shall possess experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline powered vehicles, including the full range of repairing, disassembling, and troubleshooting of these vehicles. Shall possess the knowledge and skills commensurate with the position necessary to leverage expertise of stand-alone components, as well as knowledge of an overall integrated system to properly execute quality assurance inspections. Work closely and professionally with customers, and communicate issues to leadership as necessary.

Work closely and professionally with customers, and communicate issues to leadership as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of the makeup, operation, and installation of complex major systems and assemblies to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems.
- Test and troubleshoot components and systems to locate equipment defect.
- Ability to interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics and engineering drawings, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals; and the ability to operate electronic test equipment.
- Verify that parts fit, move correctly, and are properly lubricated.
- Required to check the pressure of gases and the level of liquids, conduct basic electrical tests, and conduct tests to ensure that machines operate properly.
- Ability to review and understand contract technical specifications.
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, components and subsystems being manufactured.
- Provide detailed inspection results to the Government notating unsatisfactory work.
- Equivalent experience 6+ years automotive experience.
- ASE Master Technician (Automobile) Certification.
- Strong oral communication skills to facilitate the discussion of contractual specifications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Advanced problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills in order to plan each phase of an inspection and ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience performing contract file reviews or audits.
- Shall be proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project as well as with Adobe Acrobat.
- Travel required up to 75 percent annually.
- Must be able to maintain a SECRET clearance.
