Under general supervision of medical and nursing staff, following policies, procedures and professional guidelines, assists with endoscopy procedures and cleaning of equipment used. Identifies and reports situations requiring intervention. Assists with exams and procedures, transports patients and patient related materials. Assist RN in preparing for procedures and managing flow. Maintains environment and supplies appropriately. Precepts and trains new Endoscopy Technicians. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED required and Graduate of PCT, Nursing Assistant certification course, or MAT training program, or GE tech experience or previous experience in a hospital based unlicensed assistive personnel role (UAP) examples- anesthesia tech, nurse tech, support service aide, etc. BLS required and must be maintained.
