Job Description:
General Description: Provide tutoring assistance for ASL/INT students; Assists with a variety of administrative ASL/INT department projects, as needed.

Duties and Tasks: Provides tutoring services to ASL and Interpreting students; when needed, opens the ASL lab and monitors equipment and usage during lab hours; assists with a ASL/INT department projects, as needed; assists with placement testing as needed.

Essential Functions: Assists with the ASL/INT lab and provides tutoring in the lab or remotely. Assist with ASL/INT administrative tasks and department projects, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

KSAs:

• Knowledge and Fluency in American Sign Language;
• Ability to tutor primarily hearing students; strong written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Some experience with American Sign Language,
• Some tutoring services /assistance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Considerations:

• Knowledge of ASL linguistics;
• Familiarity with video recording devices and programs
• Teaching experience.
