The Foley OEM facility is looking for an Assembler Group Leader to join our growing team.

The Assembler Group Leader coordinates assembly for one or more production cells in performance of operations. You are responsible for distributing and ensuring that the flow of work is consistent with requirements, providing technical direction, guidance and assistance to production team members.

The Group Leader promotes teamwork and occasionally has area responsibility in the Team Leader's absence.

As a Group Leader, you will be contributing to the final assembly of aircraft components for our customers, thus helping UTC Aerospace Systems to maintain its standing as one of the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Train others to manufacture aircraft parts to meet engineering, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Move between stations assisting Assemblers as needed.
  • Performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes included in major aircraft component assembly.
  • Read, write, speak and understand work instructions both verbal and written, perform basic math calculations and conduct self-inspection / audit.
  • Promote an ethics-based business culture within the team.
  • Participate in and drive Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Provide direction on production matters, technical assistance and training to production team members as well as act as a liaison for the support functions.
  • Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution.
  • Demonstrated skills in most assembly operations to move between stations assisting Assemblers as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with Quality personnel in assessment and rework of nonconforming operations.
  • Troubleshoot and solve many production issues without Team Leader direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and comply with policies, applicable regulatory, safety and company rules and requirements, operating instructions, procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Demonstrate time, priority and stress management skills in a fast paced environment meeting deadlines while maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor.
  • Be self-directed & action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve most questions and problems.


In this role, you will be required to:
  • Maintain focus regarding safety, quality and productivity.
  • Work cooperatively and communicate professionally and effectively with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and others in a team environment displaying mutual trust and respect.
  • Be regular and predictable in attendance.
  • Bend, stoop, stand, kneel for 8+ hours per day and lift 35+ pounds repetitively with or without accommodation and meet other physical requirements based on a medical screening following post offer.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed for 8+ hours per day.
  • Motivate diverse work groups.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers, managers or employees.
  • Perform the essential functions of assembly operations with or without accommodation and meet other physical requirements based on a medical screening following offer acceptance.
