Portland Valve, a Colfax Company, is seeking an Assembler for our 1st shift to join our team. In this role, you will set up test fixtures including gages, valves, pumps, and additional equipment. Assemble test loops including auxiliary equipment alignment; install meters, gages, and electronic measuring devices.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Utilize blueprints to assemble products, using various machining measuring devices.
• Record and organize valve test data.
• Layout and perform assembly tasks as needed.
• Repair valves disassembly, cleaning components, evaluating components, reworking, re-assembly, and final testing including hydro and operational testing.
• Consistently produce work of proper quality.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures and practices.
• Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner.

Job Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Have HS diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have 3-5 years of assembly or mechanic experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints, and read and understand gages.
• Must be familiar with micrometers, verniers and indicators.
• Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Must be a self-starter, be dependable, and have excellent organizational skills.
• Basic hand tool knowledge, drill, grinding, press and rigging experience is a plus.
• Hydraulic experience is a plus.
• The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• U.S. Citizen is required for DOD requirements.
