We encourage applications from dedicated scholar-pedagogues, whose teaching reflects a commitment to accessibility and diversity of methodology and representation in the classroom. We are looking for a colleague whose research and teaching contributes substantially and boldly to one or more of our School of Music strategic priorities: Modern Training, New Musics, Music Education, and Maintaining and Enhancing our Core Strengths. They will contribute to an inclusive, fair, and equitable environment that fosters engagement and a sense of belonging for faculty, staff, students and members of the broader community.
Responsibilities:

The person appointed to the position will teach both undergraduate and graduate-level courses. The general teaching load is four courses per year, two courses in one semester and two in the other. Other responsibilities to include advising and mentoring graduate students, serving on degree committees and on other committees at the departmental, college, and university levels. The successful candidate, as a member of the College of L&S, will proactively contribute to, support, and advance the college's commitment to diversity among all aspects of their teaching, research, and service.
