Summary of Position

Assistant Athletic Director- Internal Operations reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director- Internal Operations and plays a critical role in the administration and management of athletic events, special events, and summer camps.

Duties / Responsibilities

Job Duties

Duty/Responsibility
  • Responsible for the administration and management of athletic contests, serving as lead administrator for assigned home contests.
  • Handle set ups, breakdowns, emergencies, and risk management for events.
  • Event administration also includes assisting in coordination with client groups, competing institutions, conference offices, and NCAA .
  • Assist with the management and bid process of all Conference Tournaments, NCAA Championships, including direct oversight of certain tournaments and championships.

Duty/Responsibility
  • Responsible for hiring and managing all Athletic Operations Interns and Event Staff personnel.
  • Including training all student, temporary help and volunteers in the execution of their responsibilities, including policies and procedures pertaining to work schedules, time-keeping, dress code, equipment use, event staff duties, set up and breakdown practices, and disciplinary policies. Responsible for event staff payroll.

Duty/Responsibility
  • Responsible for the administration and oversight of Athletic Summer Camps.
  • Communicate and meet on a regular basis with all Camp Directors/Coaches on specific needs, information, and registrations.
  • Coordinate establishment of summer camp schedule and facilitation of sport camps/sessions during the summer.
  • Administrator of all intercollegiate athletic summer camp on line registrations including payments, customer communications and camper information packets.
  • Provide up to date information on camp status, updated registration lists, payment status, etc.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal, State and USNH / UNH policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all Protection of Minor Policies are understood and enforced at all times.
  • Attend UNH Campus Summer Youth Program meetings, represent Athletic summer camps and disseminate information to Athletic summer camp directors.
  • Coordinate with Athletic Training Department on any medical needs for campers (i.e Epipen, Inhaler Forms, etc).
  • Work with Business Office on financial policies and financial reconciliations for all camps.

Duty/Responsibility
  • Assist in maintenance of a master schedule of all facility usage and event requirements, including, but not limited to, athletic events, practice sessions, rental agreements for University and non-University events, and insure that all event needs are completely identified and accommodated in a timely matter.

  • Assist in the preparation of the Events Management budget and the tracking of all expenses for athletic contests.

Duty/Responsibility
  • Maintain competency with respect to knowledge of NCAA rules, ensure compliance with NCAA rules, and report to the Director of Athletics knowledge of any violation of NCAA , 5% conference and/or institutional rules.
  • NCAA rule violations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective actions as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures.
  • These procedures detail disciplinary action for both secondary and major violations of NCAA Rules
