Job Summary

This position routinely works with student-athletes implementing training plans to optimize athletic development; teach, build relationships, motivate, and track progression. Design annual training plans to meet the unique demands of each student-athlete and sport. Constantly communicate with athletic trainers to update student-athletes status. Mentor volunteer coaches, interns, etc. Partake in personal and professional development.

$43,896

Required Qualifications

1. Master's degree
2. Certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCCcertification) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS certification).
3. Prior experience in collegiate or professional strength & conditioning setting
4. Strong communication and organization skills.
5. Demonstrated commitment to a high degree of integrity and adherence to the University, NCAA, andMissouri Valley Conference rules and regulations.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment, with a strong senseof principles and ethics in regard to the welfare of student-athletes
7. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours which include morning, nights, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Two (2) years collegiate experience.
2. Effectively build coach-athlete relationships and motivate intercollegiate athletes
3. Ability to design and implement comprehensive annual training plans to optimize athletic performance for each student athlete
4. Knowledge and experience in teaching on-field and weight room movement skills and identify technical deficiencies
5. Experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with department staff and other athletic department personnel
