The Assistant Banquet/Set Up Manager effectively and proactively monitors the daily functions of the Catering and Convention Services team, the Convention Services floor department, and Banquet Beverage. This Assistant Manager works and communicates closely with all hotel departments to ensure a successful and effective event resulting in a positive guest experience. The Assistant Banquet/ Set Up Manager supports the leadership of the Event Services, Event Beverage, and Event Set Up team as they service 130,000 sq. feet of meeting space. The Assistant Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, colleague training, development, and coaching, internal and external communication, and guest experience management. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing banquet events at the hotel. This person supervises event room set-ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel to complete event requirement and create an appealing experience for guests.

Qualifications:

  • Refined verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • 2 Years or more of Banquet/CS Supervisor.
