Insight Global is looking for an Assistant City Engineer to join the team of a local city government client. Primary Functions include:
Overseeing the Stormwater and City Soil Erosion programs and handling the loans and grants associated with these projects
Seeking grants and outside funding for critical work programs and managing all funds received
Participating in site plan review processes
Reviewing and approving based on city environmental infrastructure
Performing Field inspections and making sure permits and certifications are in order
Involved in construction
Partnering with external vendors and will be the main point of contact if an issue arises with vendors and residents.
Needs to understand and know what is happening in all construction projects that team is designing and working on as they will be main POC for city council and be representative at Public service board meetings

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Civil and Environmental Engineering preferred
5 + years of experience as a field, design, or project engineer
Understanding of civil engineering as it relates to public works
Roadway design and construction methods, soil testing and evaluation, sanitary and storm sewer system design and construction
Experience with Pump Station, wastewater treatment
Management/Supervisory Experience
Will have a team reporting to them
Will lead Design Projects
Budget tracking, scheduling, resource allocation
Knowledge of working with State Loan Programs and Grants and knowledge of environmental regulations but forth by the state
Pluses:
PE Certification
AutoCad design Experience
Construction Background
RFP creation
