LaSalle Network is partnering with a construction company located in Frisco, Texas to find an Assistant Controller. They have been around for over 20 years and just brought in a PE firm to help grow through acquisitions. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for full cycle accounting and having strong technical, task-based accounting skills.

Assistant Controller Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all general accounting work - journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial statement prep, etc.
• Overseeing the work of all AP, AR, fixed assets and payroll employees and stepping in when needed.
• Handling all project accounting including liens.
• Managing the month-end close process.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Provide guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits. Provide documentation and explanations as required to support audit procedures.

Assistant Controller Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting role, with construction or project accounting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Industry requirements: job costing, liens and/or general construction accounting
• Exposure to full cycle accounting, AP, AR, fixed assets, general accounting, payroll, etc.
• Excel proficiency; PivotTables and VLOOK UPs, Index Matching
