  • Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Business Law, Finance or other
  • Master's degree Preferred
  • Texas Association of School Business Officials Certification (TASBO) Texas Association of School Business Officials Certification (TASBO)
  • Certified Texas Contract Manager (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in governmental Business, Procurement, or Legal, primarily with a federal or state agency, city government, or school district preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management
  • Minimum of 3 years Supervisory, Management and Managerial Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws regarding school district procurement and contracts
  • Ability to explain complex legal, contractual, and other business concepts clearly and concisely
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Aptitude to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Strong sense of initiative, excellent time managements skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Attention to detail and desire to ensure accuracy
  • Professional and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
