The Assistant Director works closely with CEO/Director to lead this Independent Camp as a leader in it's rural Maine community.

Camp Description

Since 1915, memories have been made and friendships have been created on the shores of Lake Cobbossee. 250 acres of wooded forest are combined with sports fields and lakefront property to house 180 campers at a time for 1- and 2- week sessions. Limited shoulder season programming supports the primary overnight summer camp experience.

Since 1915, resident campers have been creating lifelong memories and friendships, on the shores of beautiful Lake Cobbossee. YMCA Camp of Maine is seeking an Assistant Camp Director, to join a year-round leadership team, focused on providing engaging and enriching traditional camp programs. Like everyone on our YCamp Staff, we expect this person to come with a serious love for camp, a strong growth mindset, and a great work ethic. Onsite housing provided. Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree &/or relevant work experience are required.
• Trainer level cirtifiacations in CPR/FA/LG a plus
• Comfortable with MacOS, CampMinder, and other digital productivity suites
• Demonstarted ability to communicate verbally and written.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include, camper recruitment; parent communication; staff recruitment, training, and supervision; and management of rental groups. The right person will be very organized, a clear communicator, and able to develop and execute a plan.
