Job Description

This position will provide day-to-day supervision of Center for Educational Development & Research (CEDaR) operations and support the grant management processes for the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. The position will support grant proposals, management, administration, and data analysis, as well as workshops and programming for students and faculty. This person will work closely with Principal Investigators, student researchers, Pre-Award and Post-Award offices, Financial Services, and the Dean's Office, and serves as a liaison between the sponsors and ORS. This position will provide graduate students with dissertation support, networking to build community and collaboration to receive feedback on their dissertation/ project. Will also manage and provide, poster consultation, survey construction and distribution, and transcription pedal checkout support for students and faculty.

Job Duties:

External Pre-Award Supports: 10% of time
  • Tracks/ monitors sponsored research applications and awards; oversees records maintenance
  • Assist in application process with example templates of budgets, justifications, etc.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and interpretation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state and university policies and regulations and in support of increased sponsored research awards

External Post-Award Supports: 45% of time
  • Manage budgets
  • Process release on grants an maintain a spreadsheet and work with the Deans office to move the release to the appropriate funds
  • Reconcile monthly financial reports to clear outstanding expenses, payroll, budget revisions, and transfers post-award
  • Sets up new vendors and ensure invoices are on the correct chartfield
  • Acts as the payroll coordinator for sponsored research/ programs
  • Submits all paper PAF, ePAF, EDR, travel, and payroll transfers related to grants and sponsored programs
  • Provides faulty and student researchers support with purchases, travel, polices and procedures, awards, funding requests, and reimbursement requests related to grants and sponsored research
  • Contacts various offices to request information as needed

Internal Award Supports: 15% of time
  • Keep spreadsheets of all awards
  • Assist faculty with the transactional items for their awards
  • Monitor and process appropriate paperwork, when awards are done on a reimbursement basis
  • Reconcile the funds
  • Provide reports to faculty// students of their activity and available balances

CEDaR Operations and Programming: 30% of time
  • Designing and implementing professional development opportunities for faculty and graduate students
  • Coordinating graduate advisory council
  • Coordinating graduate student orientation
  • Supervision of graduate assistants in CEDaR
  • Design of program level marketing materials
  • Coordinate networking opportunities for graduate students

Hybrid/remote schedule a possibility.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree, AND:
  • 60 months experience managing/leading multiple projects

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 108 months of related experience.

  • Master's Degree
  • University or Higher Education experience
  • Administration and research administration experience
  • Previous OU and Budget experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting processes
  • Advanced Excel Skills

Supervision:
  • Some supervision of Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs)
