Job Summary:

Seattle Medical Post Acute Care seeks Assistant Director of Nursing - RN to join our amazing team. This individual should possess interpersonal and supervisory skills and have an understanding of Skilled Nursing. They will be responsible in assisting in the coordination, organization, implementation, evaluation and direction of the nursing services department as well as its programs and activities in accordance with current rules and regulations and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.

Essential Functions:
  • Directly responsible to oversee the Unit Manager on each unit and ensure completion of all assigned responsibilities and resolution to identified resident care issues and concerns.
  • Infection Control- monitors and ensures recording of infections, analysis of data, determination of trends and potential causes.
  • Works with the Facility Educator in developing education and training as indicated.
  • Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as directed.
  • Assist with determining and monitoring the staffing needs of the nursing department and ensure the assignment of appropriate and adequate numbers of nursing staff daily for each shift to ensure that the needs of the residents met.
  • Assist in the review annually at a minimum, all nursing services policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the interviewing and selection with the Director of Nursing and Administrator's approval all Nurses and Certified Nursing assistants.
  • Assist with completing yearly written evaluation of nurses and nurse aides.
  • Ensure that medical and nursing care is administered in accordance with the resident's wishes and per the individualized care plan.

Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:
  • Required: Current certification as a Registered Nurse in the state of Employment
  • Required: Skilled Nursing Facility 1 years
  • Preferred: Nurse Management: 1 years
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
