Job Description

This position will assist the Director of Advising in the overall operations of the Advising office and will serve as a key leader regarding the operations surrounding student advisement. Key priorities will include management and coordination of advising functions such as early registration periods, summer welcome logistics and strategy, early alert and retention outreach, advisor training and ongoing development, and involvement in campus initiatives affecting the advising community; coordination and execution of offices processes such as change of major request, NCAA student-athlete certification, MU Connect system administration, and other similar functions; coordination with other advising staff to ensure that resources, websites, and materials accurately reflect current curriculum and policy for CHS and campus (e.g. advising worksheets, websites, etc.); advising students regarding course scheduling and preparing for graduate and professional school applications. Supervises and serves as the direct report for academic advisors. Oversees new advisor onboarding and training staff move into our office, this position will fully train advisors on all degree requirements and functions of the office.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Grade: GGS 10
