Description

The Assistant Information Technology (IT) System Specialist is responsible for assisting in the implementation, administration and monitoring of the computing and cloud based solutions for Burns & McDonnell on an international platform
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of both physical and virtual servers and server based applications.
  • Assist with the administration of the corporate Active Directory and grant permissions and access to approved applications.
  • Assist in identifying new technologies and alternative systems to enhance security, reliability or customer experience.
  • Assist with preparing scripts to assist with the management and control of server equipment.
  • Document server builds and configurations for system optimization.
  • Compile and log operational issues and escalate server-related incidents for resolution.
  • Assist with state-of-the art computer network systems technologies, architectures, and products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology or related field required.
  • Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Basic knowledge of applying IT principles, methods, and tools to the IT systems environment.
  • Basic knowledge of applying IT system principles and methods to commercial systems products.
  • Basic knowledge of applying IT principles and methods to technical documentation methods; and performance management methods.
  • Basic knowledge of applying IT principles and methods to performance management methods.
  • Basic knowledge of applying risk factors associated with maintaining IT systems, such as computer viruses, hackers, and denials of service.
  • Basic knowledge of applying IT security regulations and policies.
  • Microsoft A certification Preferred
