Job Summary:
The Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison dedicates itself to the mission of providing athletic opportunities to a wide range of students in an environment in which all student-athletes can achieve their academic and competitive goals. Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, assist with the responsibilities of a Division I Men's Rowing program in accordance with Athletic Department, University and IRA regulations. Primary responsibilities include:
- Teaching and instructing student-athletes in the fundamentals of Division I Collegiate Rowing
- Provide guidance, motivation and leadership development to student-athletes
- Travel to away competitions throughout the competitive collegiate season
- Organization of data and analytics
- Equipment management
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies
- Additional areas of responsibility may include: planning and conducting team practices, individual skill instruction, departmental collaboration, performance of administrative, academic and public relations duties, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Required
Bachelor's Degree
Qualifications:
- Elite collegiate rowing experience preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of collegiate and/or professional rowing coaching experience is preferred.
- Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following:
* Ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes;
* Ability to work cooperatively and build strong working relationships with diverse groups including administrators, faculty, staff, students and alumni
* Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.
* Administratively self-sufficient. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and web applications.
- Four (4) years of collegiate coaching experience required to be considered for the Associate Head Coach Business Title.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a Limited appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
