Schedule: Full Time

Shift : 11A - 11P and every other weekend.

Location: 605 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL. 32714

The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Hospice Care covering our three locations Altamonte Springs, Orlando and Kissimmee.

The role you'll contribute:

The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for identifying patient/family/caregiver needs and providing nursing and supportive care in accordance with the plan of care, and policies and procedures. In addition, this position will provide oversight of the Inpatient Unit staff in the absence of the Inpatient Unit Manager.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Provides supervision of Inpatient Unit night staff and in the absence of the Inpatient Unit Manager.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws, including employment laws.
• Assists the Inpatient Unit Manager in working collaboratively with the Human Resources Department to accomplish employee interviewing, hiring, training and coaching functions.
• Works collaboratively with the Human Resources Department to address complaints and assist in resolving employee relation issues.
• Plans, assigns and directs work of directly supervised staff, including assigning work schedules to ensure staffing needs are met.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Education and Training : Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Administrator.
• Experience : Minimum of 3 years of skilled nursing experience including some hospice and/or home health care nursing is required. In addition, a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is required.
• Certificates and Licenses Required : A clear/active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) certification is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
