Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Unit Highlights
  • The OB High Risk Unit provides exceptional antepartum care in a facility that does approximately 4000+ deliveries a year. The unit has 36 beds in a spa like environment. In our women's tower there is also an OB ED, Labor & Delivery, Maternal Infant Unit, as well as Level 2 & 4 NICU units.
  • The OB High Risk unit is also unique to this area as it is the only antepartum unit in the Central Florida Division of AdventHealth. We are the only unit currently treating Postpartum Depression with an IV infusion of Brexanalone. We also support our Labor and Delivery unit with starting cervical ripening inductions on our floor.
  • The OB High Risk unit is supported by a variety of resources including 24/7 OB and Pediatric Hospitalist providers, Lactation Consultants, and Neonatologists.

The role you'll contribute:

The ANM is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of their assigned unit. Is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. The ANM assures quality of care is delivered to our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. Is supportive of change activities on their unit and works to assure implementation of change that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification
  • EKG competency

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Prior management experience
  • Professional Certification
