The responsibilities of the Assistant Operations Manager at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Centerinclude assisting in overseeing event services and event setup but could include any area in the Operations Division. This can include the front office, guest services, housekeeping, outlets, security and event services. Duties may also include training, staff development, scheduling, ordering and guest recovery. This position will have a focus on Banquets/Event Services and Event Set Up. The selected candidate willassistin the oversight of the entire Banquet/Event Servicesand Event Set Updepartment, which includes staffing, training, scheduling, ensuring high quality service, posting banquet checks, and resolving guest problems.

This position reports to the Director of Operations and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members.

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays along with AM, PM and overnight shifts.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
Salary range for this position is $60,100 - $73,600
