JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Professor is responsible for maintaining externally funded scholarly research program within the goals of the Department and Institution. Participate in Graduate School education program and cooperate with the researchers in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology and the Institution to facilitate the research activity.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/CRITICAL TASKS
• Develop manuscripts and presentations for national and international journals and meetings.
• Participate actively in research department seminars and meetings.
• Develop relevant new ideas and procedures applicable to the area of scientific research.
• Carry out the role of a supervisor when assigned.
• Apply for and obtain external funding to support research activities.
• Carry out professional and responsibilities within the overall research community commensurate with rank (e.g. Institutional committee service and other academic assignments, national journal and grant reviews, editorial boards, etc).
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Ph.D. or other Doctoral Degree is required.
