Position Purpose

The Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity at the University of Central Missouri is seeking qualified candidates for several tenure-track positions with the rank of Assistant Professor Computer Science/Cybersecurity for a January 2025 or August 2025 start. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field. The primary responsibilities are teaching courses in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or Software Engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing departments within the College of Health, Science, and Technology at UCM . The department has 22 full-time faculty and offers undergraduate and master programs in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Cybersecurity. Teaching is the primary duty of our faculty, but we also have a broad range of research interests, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, human computer interaction, data science, software engineering, and network forensics. We are looking for faculty excited by the prospect of shaping our department's future, working in a collaborative, supportive environment, and contributing to the sustained excellence of our programs.
