To strengthen our research and development work, we are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Scientist, the candidate for this position will be part of an established team working to evaluate clinical trial samples for immunological responses to vaccination by internal vaccine candidates. You will perform ELISA and multiplex ELISA (ECL, MSD) analysis for the Clinical Read Outs (Vaccines) group. The candidate's primary responsibilities will include performing assigned scientific experiments, carrying out the planned experiments and procedures under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will complete development studies, optimize procedures and determine appropriate conditions and ranges of (critical) process parameters for ELISA and other immunological assays.

• Record and analyze experimental data, verify data integrity, and report/summarize findings to the project team, and also collaborate with other team members.

• Provides solutions to problems of limited to moderate scope of complexity and exercises judgment within generally defined policies and procedures to resolve appropriate action.

• Works as advised within standard operating procedures and assists in writing and updating protocols and test methods.

• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment; operates hands-on analytical and other instruments considered standard in their area of expertise.

• The candidate is encouraged to work in a team environment as well as working individually to meet project timeline and objectives.

Qualifications

• A BS in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field, preferably with up to two years of proven experience

• Experience maintaining written records of work in the form of laboratory notebooks (paper or electronic) is required.

• The ability to report data, present findings to management is required.

• Experience with team-based collaborations is required.

• Good pipetting skills is required.

• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with immunoassays and data analysis is preferred.

• It is required that the candidate be highly organized and capable of handling/pursuing multiple projects with some supervision.

• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Experience working under a regulated environment such as GCLP, GLP or GMP is desirable.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $57,000 to $92,000

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
