We are looking for enthusiastic Early Childhood Assistant Teachers to join our team and support our youngest learners in an infant, toddler, or preschool classroom. Qualifications

What You Bring to the Community Enterprise

Education & Experience

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Minimum 6 months prior experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old.
• Have or be willing to obtain CPR/first aid certification, a criminal background check, and a food handler’s license.
• Have or be willing to obtain a Child Development Associates (CDA) or 12 college credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, and/or early childhood special education.

How You Will Make an Impact (Essential Functions)

• Nurture Little Ones: Provide loving care for our littlest learners, ages 6 weeks (about 1 and a half months) old to 5 years old, by establishing routines, ensuring they're groomed, fed, and diapered, while keeping them happy and secure.
• Safety Steward: Keep our spaces safe, clean, and welcoming by tidying up classrooms, sanitizing toys, and ensuring everything is spotless for a day full of fun and learning.
• Guide Learning: Lead children through engaging, research-based activities that help them grasp new ideas, understand complex concepts, and prepare for their next steps in education or care.
• Family Connector: Build strong, dynamic relationships with families and staff, creating a warm and supportive community that fosters every child's growth and success.
• Snack Time Specialist: Serve up nutritious snacks with care, following sanitation, USDA, and CCR guidelines, ensuring little ones are fueled for their day of discovery.
• Confidence Builder: Focus on nurturing social-emotional development, helping children develop confidence, impulse control, and social skills that will last a lifetime.
• Record Keeper: Maintain detailed and accurate records of each child's activities and progress, ensuring that every milestone is celebrated, and every need is met.
• Safety Guardian: Protect the well-being of each child by adhering to Texas Child Care Regulation directives, ensuring a secure environment for all.
• Security Enforcer: Uphold safety and security standards, creating a safe space for children, staff and families alike, where everyone feels protected and cared for.
