The AVP, Perioperative Services is an integrated campus role among TUH Jeanes Campus and Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC). This individual is responsible for directing and leading the Perioperative Services in collaboration with the Department of Surgery, Nursing and Anesthesia. This individual reports directly to the TUHS VP of Perioperative Services with a dotted line reporting structure to the VP, CNO TUH Jeanes Campus and the Chief Operating Officer for FCCC. The AVP provides leadership in the execution of operational and strategic goals and objectives of assigned nursing departments/service lines, ensures quality care that is consistent with organizational and regulatory standards, and assumes ultimate responsibility for outcomes related to the performance of the nursing staff and professional development. Directly supervises Nurse Managers and other leaders in assigned departments. Assumes budgetary and fiscal responsibility for assigned areas. Areas of responsibility include: Operating Room (including GI / Pulmonary Procedural areas), PACU; Pre-Admission Testing; CSR; Operating Room Materials. Nurse Executive Board Certification required within 1 year from date of hire.

Education
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree: Nursing or Health Care Administration (Preferred)

Experience
5 Years experience in a Management or Senior Leadership role within the healthcare sector (Required)
5 Years experience in a clinical area of perioperative services (Required)
5 years experience as an Operating Room Nurse (Preferred)

License/Certifications
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
NEA-BC - Nurse Exec Adv Board Cert (Required) or NE-BC - Nurse Exec Board Cert (Required)
CNOR - Certified Nurse Operating Room (Preferred)
CPAN - Cert Post Anesthesia Nurse (Preferred)
