Position Number: 127570 Position Title (Classification Title): Assistant/Associate Professor 127570 Working Title: Assistant/Associate Professor in Cybersecurity Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities include teaching three courses each fall and spring semester, conducting research in Cybersecurity, mentoring students in the department, and performing service activities that contribute to the success of the department/program and the mission of the university.
Candidates may be considered for credit toward time on tenure track or for an appointment as an Associate Professor. Applicants at the rank of Associate Professor must have interests in outreach, curriculum development, and significant research and teaching experience in an academic setting for at least six years post Ph.D. For this position, we are interested in applicants from all areas in cybersecurity, computing or related fields, including, but not limited to, secure development, malware analysis, offensive and defensive security, and artificial intelligence.
Department Department of Cybersecurity FLSA: Exempt Position Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related discipline from an accredited institution and a demonstrated record of teaching at an institution of higher learning. Applicants are expected to have a demonstrated record of teaching and research in core areas of computing and cybersecurity including, but not limited to, secure software development. malware analysis, offensive and defensive security, and artificial intelligence in both face-to-face and online learning environments, academic research, and service.
