Job Description
The Department of Child Health at the University of Missouri is seeking applicants for a faculty position in the division of Critical Care. Responsibilities include patient care in the PICU, involvement in a thriving sedation service, and the teaching of residents and medical students. Clinical research activity is pursued and encouraged.
The PICU is a 13-bed unit with multiple pediatric specialties including active general surgery, neurosurgical, ENT, orthopedic surgery and plastic surgical programs. There are approximately 1,000 admissions/year. The multi-disciplinary team consists of residents, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, social workers and dietitians. A team of individuals dedicated solely to pediatric transport provides mobile intensive care services to our region.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: MD / DO, Board certified Pediatrician, BC/BE Pediatric Critical Care
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates will be evaluated on additional training in Anesthesiology, Cardiology or Pulmonary Medicine.
