Job Summary:

The Center for Performing and Cinematic Arts, (CPCA) is comprised of Boyer College of Music and Dance, School of Theater, Film & Media Arts. The Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for the successful implementation of Boyer College's music recruitment plans. Maintains a database for all recruitment efforts, including the scheduling of auditions. Takes the lead role in meeting and corresponding with prospective students and their families to inform them of the music programs at Boyer. Assists in the development of recruitment materials. Serves as liaison to community colleges and high schools, community music programs and coordinates recruitment efforts with overall university recruitment activities and events. Coordinates and participates in all recruitment activities including open house programs, conference exhibition opportunities, admitted student receptions, including the coordination of speakers, faculty, student representatives, marketing materials, and Assistant Dean's presentation. Supervises Boyer Ambassadors and Graduate Assistant in their participation in Boyer recruitment events, audition days and prospective student Shadowing Days. Assists with all financial aid forms for administering scholarships and assistantships for new and continuing students. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of experience working in higher education or a related field. Recruitment experience. Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience in a post-secondary institution in a student services function. Experience with financial and budgeting principles. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Handling of Cash, Credit and Financial Transactions
  • Access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
