Associate Billing Representative - Eastern OR Central Time Zone

A typical day will include interacting with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy and work through specific billing discrepancies. You will also provide input to policies, systems, methods and procedures for the effective management and control of the insurance billing function, monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed, and manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 2 - 6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and navigation, mouse and keyboarding skills
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week within the operating hours of the site, Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 4:30pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need

Preferred Qualification

• 1+ year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
• EPIC Experience

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Reside within Eastern OR Central Time Zone
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, OR Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.00 - $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
