LOCATION: COOK COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, 2650 S. CALIFORNIA AVE. -CRIMINAL DIVISION

SHIFT: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the operations of a team responsible for the coordination and delivery of mental health
support and related services and evaluations for the Department's clients. Directly or indirectly manage social
workers, caseworkers, mitigators and mental health clinicians. Oversee training, forensic and clinical assessment
and psychological testing, diagnosis and risk assessments. Serve in a confidential advisory role for senior
leadership. Work collaboratively with other departments, stakeholders and other service providers on programs
and projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree
  • Four (4) years of social work, psychology, forensic psychology, counseling, psychiatry, mitigation, or directly
    related experience.
  • Four (4) years of prior supervisory experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

• Knowledge of the operations of caseworkers, social workers, mitigators and mental health clinicians.
• Skill in directing and supervising the performance of the client services staff.
• Knowledge of the criminal legal system rules, regulations and practices, the roles of various Department staff
within the system and the needs of Department clients.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and allocate work projects on a day-to-day basis ensuring the timely completion of
assignments.
• Ability to provide strategic leadership, insight, support, and direction to support the unit's mission and goals.
• Ability to solve complex problems that have long-term impact on the unit and organization.
• Ability to implement the strategic vision of a department or organization-wide function.
• Ability to implement plans and objectives and oversee the efficiency and performance of specific processes and
operations.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly and effectively grasp and utilize County policies, protocols and technical
vernacular used throughout each union labor agreement for the County.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently
to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may
involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
