General Description:
The associate director of IT Technology Solutions and Business Development collaborates with the director to align resources and services across the unit. This position oversees the integrated IT procurement and inventory management programs, provides detailed metrics for strategic planning purposes and audit responses, and works with subordinate staff to create efficient procedures and workflows. This position is responsible for creating effective working relationships within and between the functional business programs, with other College Computing units, campus IT staff, and non-IT college staff. The associate director is expected to comfortably liaise with and present information to college leadership and contacts within other state agencies when necessary.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Strategic collaboration and management between and among units within business and professional services, serving as the designated backup to the director
  • Recommend, develop and implement process improvements across the unit and division
  • Develop, implement and maintain integrated procurement and asset management program
  • Determine priorities and resource allocation within assigned areas
  • Plan and manage resources, coordinate projects and initiatives within the division
  • Work collaboratively with peers to establish division priorities, manage cross-unit initiatives and projects, and champion accountability and responsibility within the division




Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
