Job Description

The Associate Director (AD) for Gastro Marketing & Operations is responsible for the creation, development, implementation, and strategic oversight for all operational elements associated with ensuring an exceptional customer experience across the continuum of care of IBD and ongoing demand pull-through. Utilizing account manager and customer insights, the AD will support material creation, training, and execution of gastro in-field teams. Additionally, the AD serves as the subject matter expert on customer needs and is a productive influence on behalf of the commercial team across the enterprise.

The individual must be able to: Work in a team-based environment to lead the execution of strategies and implementation of tactics to grow the business, maximize brand sales, market share, and profitability; Internally foster positive working relationships with the Brand Marketing, account management teams, Market Access, Patient Services, Supply Chain, OEC, Legal, BTS, Sales Training, and other cross franchise marketing teams. Additionally, the AD must work with external partners including agencies, consultants and external experts to successfully drive the IBD business.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director(s) and business leaders to build, manage and execute strategic and tactical marketing plans to achieve business objectives and goals.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the patient, Health Care Professional (HCP), buy-and-bill processes, and account management to ensure marketing activities align with the needs of the customer and insights are used to make key business decisions.
  • Direct and manage key initiatives and tactics within the Gastro team
  • Utilize data and insights to take and recommend appropriate strategic decisions and actions to drive business results
  • Drive and participate in business and marketing plans processes.
  • Demonstrates and utilizes holistic understanding of financial planning process particularly budget management and ROIs.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams and external partnerships to ensure integration and consistency of business strategies and regulatory compliance of promotional material.
  • Influence business leaders and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business results.
  • Grow brand/product penetration, share and awareness and other key launch metrics.
  • Identifies problems and conceptualizes solutions using creativity and innovation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience within the health care industry. Preferred contracting or market access experience.
  • Strong presentation experience and proficient PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical skills with primary and secondary data
  • Previous cross franchise/cross channel marketing experience preferred.
  • Proven marketing experience with increased proficiency in all marketing skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts within strategic planning process preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others.
