Summary:


The Assistant Director for Student Success, Career Management's primary responsibility is to engage with and support students in the job/internship search process. As the MBA Internship Program Advisor, this role will provide career coaching to students through group and 1:1 sessions. The Assistant Director recommends, designs, maintains, and produces departmental and other reports and projects as needed to ensure the successful development and implementation of the Career Management strategies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver career coaching in 1:1 and group settings to students and alumni; serve as a resource to students in career management and professional development; assist Director with the collection and submission of student employment data.
  • Oversee and manage the Internship Program for the students, supporting the goal that 100% internships are secured by due dates. Coach students on processes, guide them on appropriate internship opportunities, arrange for follow up with employers and track related documentation and assignments, support the Director in sourcing opportunities.
  • Facilitate career management related programs, events, workshops, and course presentations/content (including providing support for MBA504/506); create and curate career content for online/social use; leverage a variety of platforms, tools, and modalities in the creation of content to provide a high-touch accessible experience for our students.
  • Oversee and manage the MBA mentoring program, matching and connecting students with mentors.
  • Serve as a liaison for/to student organizations, acting as a support and consultant to their career-related programming.
  • Analyze markets and trends as they relate to graduate business students' career paths and job search tactics.
  • Work closely with the International Student and Scholar Services Office to ensure compliance with immigration regulations on visa issues for international students.
  • Collaborate with Rollins Undergraduate Career Center and other partners to optimize programming (e.g., career fairs), toolsets for tracking, and documenting the management of connections.
  • Complete special projects and reports for the Director and/or Dean of Crummer as requested, including developing ad-hoc reports to analyze data.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • All EA MBA students complete mock interviews and resume critiques each year.
  • Achieve conversion of internships to FT roles.
  • Connect to Crummer students to alumni and/or employer partners prior to graduation.
  • Increase percentage of Crummer students attending careerevents.
Minimum Qualifications & Education:
  • Masters degree in business, higher education, or a related field or a Bachelor's degree and comparable recruitment experience.
  • Experience in business industries and/or graduate level/business career coaching.
  • Experience serving the career needs of a diverse domestic and international student population.
  • Experience with on-the-spot service delivery to meet student needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the current trends in job search career strategies, preparation, tools, and technology.
  • Experience with project management, strong organizational work skills and experience defining tasks & prioritizing assignments.
  • Demonstrated program management experience from ideation to execution; tracking and data collection for continuous improvement of career center programming.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience working with data and generating reports.
  • Possess a strategic-mindset and understand importance of the student-alumni lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience to effectively communicate job search process, including career strategies, networking, resume development, interviewing.
  • Strong technical competencies and demonstrated experience using recruitment software and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams).
  • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making by ensuring interpretation and communication of policies and procedures are consistent and accurate.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:

  • Campus-based, front-facing position, working in an office environment.
  • Work requires visual strain and the use of a computer.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as appropriate for business needs.
