An employer is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate EH&S Generalist in the Santa Barbara area. This person will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with hazardous waste management regulations, updating procedures, validating inspections and permitting, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role is 5 days a week onsite at the customer site, which is a defense contractor in a manufacturing environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a hands on EH&S role, this is a generalist position rather than a specialist
- Background in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of hazardous waste management and requirements, including the separation of flammables from corrosives
- Regulatory compliance knowledge - ability to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including obtaining necessary permits

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Osha 10 certification
- Defense contractor/maritime industry background
