What to Expect

The IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies within the Digital Division's IT Governance, Risk and Compliance area of Hyundai Capital. This position involves developing and implementing compliance strategies and policies, identifying compliance risks, and driving corrective action plans and closure of open items, working across cross-functional teams to ensure a culture of compliance throughout the company.

What You Will Do

1. Compliance program

• Develop and implement compliance strategies and policies to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations

• Monitor and evaluate company operations and procedures to identify potential compliance risks

• Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met in all business processes

• Proactively identify potential compliance issues and work with relevant teams to implement preventative measures

• Continuously assess and improve the company's compliance program to ensure it meets industry standards and best practices

2. Audit coordination and support

• Support internal and external audits and reviews to identify any gaps, develop corrective action plans, and drive the closure of open action items

• Respond to and resolve compliance issues and inquiries from regulatory agencies and auditors

3. Analysis, reporting, training and documentation

• Stay up-to-date on new and evolving laws and regulations related to the company's operations and make recommendations for necessary changes to policies and procedures

• Work with a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a culture of compliance throughout the organization

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of compliance activities, including reports, training materials, policies and procedures, and other documentation

4. Other projects, tasks and support

• Perform all other duties to support the program and team

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Proven experience as a Compliance Associate or in a similar role

• At least five years' experience in compliance, risk, audit or related field

• Proven track record of success in managing complex compliance procedures

• Ability to develop and implement effective compliance strategies, working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

• Experience in SOX or K-SOX is a plus

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
