Description

Creates and maintains weekly and daily maintenance schedules, with the primary responsibility of efficiently allocating resources within the refinery to support the Maintenance department.

  • Facilitates daily communication meetings for resource allocation.
  • Develops, coordinates, and presents the following week's schedule and adjusts changes as needed.
  • Publishes weekly/daily schedule for all complexes to Operations, Maintenance, and the Leadership Team after finalizing the schedule within SAP.
  • Maintains and analyzes weekly headcount graphs and reports.
  • Ensures all resources, equipment, and materials are available for scheduled work.
  • Tracks and reports the refinery backlog.
  • Assists with scheduling turnarounds as needed.
  • Manages a variety of reports on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis for the Maintenance department.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

The [salary range] [rate] for this position is $65,000.00 to $89,000.00 and represents Valero's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation at the time of this posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of maintenance, maintenance scheduling, and/or planning experience in a refinery or petrochemical environment preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience using a scheduling program such as Primavera, SAP, Microsoft Project, etc. preferred.
  • SAP work order and purchase order experience is required.
  • A working knowledge of the use of process flow sheets, isometric drawings, and P&ID's preferred.
  • Computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook software required.
  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Wilmington Refinery, required.
  • Able and willing to work Monday through Friday (8 hours/day) work schedule
