Position Summary:
The Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute at Carle Health would like to hire a Associate Research Scientist for the Carle Clinical Imaging Research Program (CCIRP). CCIRP is a multi-faculty research group that focuses on developing and applying advanced biomedical imaging methods in translational and clinical research studies. CCIRP oversees research uses of Carle's clinical 3T MRI scanners and other imaging and computational resources. In addition, CCIRP works collaboratively with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Biomedical Imaging Center in a shared venture, the Carle Illinois Advanced Imaging Center (CI AIC) and its 7T MRI scanner. The Associate Research Scientist will develop an independent, externally funded research program focused on development and application of advanced biomedical imaging processing methods; support investigators in their biomedical imaging studies; manage and pursue research using a de-identified imaging database; and pursue original research and support collaborators using data from the Champaign Urbana Population Study. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a biomedical science or engineering field; be experienced in processing of neuroimaging and/or cancer imaging data, including functional and structural MRI; have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; be able to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader; and develop an externally funded, independent research program. Along with a cover letter and curriculum vitae, applicants should also submit the names of three professional references and a 1-2 page description of their intended five year research trajectory.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experienced in processing of neuroimaging and/or cancer imaging data, including functional and structural MRI.

Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader; and develop an externally funded, independent research program.
