Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Risk/Policy Management in New York, New York

Identify, assess and monitor liquidity risks related to the Firm's business activities. Maintain active dialogue with business units, Corporate Treasury, risk management colleagues, and other groups regarding business strategies, risk representation, and limit compliance. Prepare and present briefings to senior management on key risk issues. Collaborate with Technology on liquidity risk related projects. Conduct analysis on key risk areas and communicate results with relevant stakeholders. Create high quality reports for Boards, Regulators and internal use on a regular basis. Innovate ways to identify key risks/concentrations and implement processes to actively monitor these risks. Assist with the review and challenge of stress models.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $118,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requires a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as a Treasury Associate, Risk Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: liquidity risk management requirements and best practices; liquidity risks generated from deposits, wholesale funding, and retail and institutional lending products; identifying risks, evaluating impact, and developing mitigating strategies; processing data and performing analysis using SQL; creative data visualization using Office Suite, and Python; automating business processes using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications); developing scenario analysis by creating regression models and conducting simulations; multi-variable time series analysis to develop projection models for key liquidity metrics; solving complex programming tasks; and establishing and maintaining coding standards.
