Notice to Applicants: This is a one-year, DCTA-classified position with full benefits and school-based incentives. The year will count as one year toward non-probationary status if teacher receives a rating of "Effective" or higher on the end of year LEAP evaluation. The teacher will be placed on the appropriate step and lane on the salary scale if able to secure a lead teaching position upon completion of the Associate Teacher role.

What You'll Do:

  • 1 (one) year position only .
  • Operates as a lead teacher for up to 51% of the day, teaching appropriate grade level standards to diverse students, following school-based curriculum expectations.
  • Establishes and communicates clear objectives to students for lessons, units, and projects; presents subject matter to students, individually and in groups, using various teaching methods and technology and adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style.
  • Spends additional time operating as a teacher resident, participating in learning experiences to help growth and development.
  • Operates as a learner committed to increasing effectiveness as an instructional leader in the classroom.


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required.
  • Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license. Click here for additional information regarding specific requirements and qualifications for the various subject areas ( DPS does accept a CDE Application Receipt for 90 days .)
