Who We Are:

We support the Commercial Vehicle Systems Department by maintaining gaseous emissions measurement equipment.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Support the Commercial Vehicles Systems department by supporting and maintaining gaseous emissions equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, relocate equipment, and assist in changing sampling setups.
  • Assist in procurement and inventory of gas cylinders, parts, and consumables that support this equipment.
  • Equipment includes Horiba emissions benches, FTIRs, and other gaseous analyzers.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Relocate or perform basic maintenance tasks on gaseous emissions equipment using hand tools.
  • Operate gaseous emissions equipment when a particular test requires an in-person operator.
  • Update inventory of gas cylinders, parts, and consumables so that stock can be maintained.
  • Assist senior staff in repairing malfunctioning emissions equipment.


Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Instrumentation, Measurement, or related classes are helpful.
  • 0-3 years: Experience working with laboratory equipment, especially gaseous analyzers or other equipment supported by compressed gas cylinders preferred but not required.
  • 0-3 years: Experience with mechanical tools and/or electrical equipment preferred but not required.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
