Associate Training Instructor, Manufacturing

Tesla is seeking an experienced individual to join the GFTX Manufacturing Training team as a Training Instructor. In this role, you will play a key part in developing a world-class manufacturing training program from the ground up. Your expertise in production operations, adult learning principles, and process optimization will be crucial in supporting operational excellence. We are looking for someone with a strong passion for personal development and training, who excels in communication and facilitation in dynamic environments. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a positive, motivational, and professional demeanor. A strong sense of ownership and accountability is essential. The Training team has openings across all manufacturing operations within GFTX.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing programs such as Onboarding, Workstation Trainer, and On-the-Job Training
• Deliver training courses in classroom and field settings using various presentation formats including Instructor Led, facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments
• Gather, document, and address feedback from production line leadership
• Track completed and required training using Tesla's Learning Management System
• Provide on-shift training support for production associates and production line leadership, as required
• Align with and support the team's and company's mission, vision, values, and goals in all activities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of instructional experience in an adult learning environment
• At least 3 years of production or manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of manufacturing principles
• Ability to design and structure educational programs
• Proficiency in creating detailed instructional materials
• Skills to develop assessments and other tools to evaluate learning outcomes
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving, including identifying and isolating issues across various settings
