Summary

Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) is seeking a hard-charging new software developer, ready to make a positive impact on our products. In this role, you will join our Digital Mission Engineering (DME) Space Products Development Team supporting the STK (Systems Tool Kit) Astrogator capability. STK is a commercial mission modeling and simulation software product, used by thousands of customers worldwide to solve some truly difficult problems, from designing complex spacecraft trajectories to tracking lunar rovers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work as a core contributor of a Space software development team, supporting the design, development, test, and documentation of new features
  • Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions
  • Follow and promote best practices in commercial software development
  • Support backlog reduction of existing bugs and architecture improvements
  • Contribute to the culture of an amazing company

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldwith 2 years' experience or MS

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Internship or job experience with the commercial software development lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Visual Studio, C++
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate well with others on a fast-paced team, including PhD-level subject matter experts
