Job Description:

The Athletic Communications Assistant will oversee the departments broadcasting and video production for Clark's 17 team Division III programs. Primary responsibilities include coordinating all game day video production, marketing & promotional telling the story of Clark athletics, management of social media outlets, as well as assisting in management of home contests.
  • Oversee department gameday productions through FloSports and Production Truck
  • Oversee the staffing of all crew and announcers for game day
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise student-workers
  • Assist in the promotion of all 17 Cougar varsity sports through press releases, publications, statistical information, community interest stories and maintenance of the Athletics website.
  • Promote and improve the Clark athletic brand through social, digital, print and other avenues through local, regional and national outlets
  • Manage social media channels and execute social media marketing plan
  • Creation and production of video and promotional content
  • Serve as game day manager and oversee game day stats for assigned contests

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required/ Master's degree preferred
  • Experience with Production Truck, producing games, camera production, social media
  • Relevant undergraduate experience in the field of professional or collegiate athletic communications
  • Maintain professionalism in communication internally with coaches, administrators, student-athletes, and student workers and externally with members of the campus
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
