The New York Jets are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate with dual credentials in Athletic Training (ATC) and Physical Therapy (PT) who has significant experience working with NFL teams or Division 1 college football programs. This role is crucial in maintaining the health and peak performance of our athletes, ensuring they are physically prepared for the demands of professional football.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive athletic training services including injury prevention, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation programs.
  • Collaborate with team physicians, coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for athletes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all players.
  • Travel with the team to all games and training camps, providing on-site medical care.
  • Assist in the management of the athletic training facility and ensure it is equipped and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Stay current with developments in sports medicine, particularly those that relate to football, and apply new knowledge to practice.


Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training, Doctorate in Physical Therapy, or a related field.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Board of Certification (ATC).
  • Certification from the National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (BOC) and Board Certified by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
  • Physical Therapy licensure (PT/DPT) preferred.
  • Licensed or able to be Licensed in New Jersey
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the NFL or Division 1 college football.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic and sports-related injuries and conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced certifications or certified training in manual therapy, strength and conditioning, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems.
  • Familiarity with performance analytics and sports science technology.
